We are a foundation from Silesia – our main goal is to create platforms for cooperation of creative communities and popularization of culture.

The field of interest is sound – a scientific approach to it, its use in music, visual arts or public space. The organization of workshop meetings in the field of music and new media art, lying at the intersection of the worlds of technology and music, presenting a completely new perspective on communing with music, stimulating curiosity and a desire to seek unobvious solutions.

A haptic and conceptual bridge between advanced digital technology and the user. Becoming a tool for simultaneous, intuitive generation, composition and prototyping of spatial-acoustic properties of sound.

Thanks to the innovative fusion of analog and digital technologies, this can be done in real time through ergonomic panels with analog manipulators – that is, in a workshop freed from the previously most commonly practiced technique of pre-production and software implementation of material under linear playback.

With the introduction of surround sound technology, the creation of sound spaces has become a growing field of interest for many artists, including composers and sound designers.

Aware of the structural limitations of academic institutions, the foundation has created an independent laboratory dedicated to interdisciplinary art directions, among other things, the study of spatial sound aesthetics. We offer to hold an artistic residency in an innovative environment under the guidance of the “Tonarium” creators.

The foundation conducts a competition of applications, during which artists are selected who are given the opportunity to hold a residency fully paid for by the foundation (the option assumes remuneration for the host artists).
