Gerard Lebik
Gerard Lebik – sound artist, improviser, and composer. Artistic director and curator of the Sanatorium of Sound Festival in Sokołowsko. As a saxophonist, he is active in the field of improvised music while simultaneously creating electronic, experimental, and intermedia forms. His sound installations and interventions, based on white noise, sine waves, feedback, multichannel sound, focus on topics such as sound wave perception and propagation, time distortions, and psychoacoustics, exploring the relationship between sound and architecture. A graduate of the Academy of Music in Wrocław.
He has collaborated with artists such as Keith Rowe, Phil Minton, Ryoko Akama, Burkhard Beins, Paul Lovens, David Maranha, Peter Rehberg, Jérôme Noetinger, Zbigniew Karkowski, Kasper T. Toeplitz, Noid, Lucio Capece, Kazuhisa Uchihashi, Aleksandra Słyż, Judith Hamann, and many others.
